Eden to Bethlehem

Following prophetic scripture allows us to know that Jesus Christ is the promised Messiah. Scripture tells us that His birth was determined to take place at a specific time in a specific place. When the wise men came to Jerusalem, the scribes fully understood this and sent them to Bethlehem. As you follow the road from Eden to Bethlehem, I hope you will have a great appreciation for the God who loved us to send His only begotten Son to earth to provide for our salvation. If you have any questions, feel free to send to me via the comments application. My next post after Christmas will show the prophetic road from Eden to Calvary.

Galatians 4:4, 5

“But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons.”

Genesis 3:15

“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her Seed; He shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise His heel."

Genesis 12:1 – 3: His lineage would be that of Abraham

“Now the LORD had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, from your family And from your father's house, to a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."

Genesis 49:10: His tribe would be Judah

“The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes; And to Him shall be the obedience of the people.”

Numbers 24:17

"I see Him, but not now; I behold Him, but not near; A Star shall come out of Jacob; A Scepter shall rise out of Israel.”

2 Samuel 7:16: His family would that of David

"And your house and your kingdom shall be established forever before you. Your throne shall be established forever.“

Isaiah 7:14: His mother would be a virgin

"Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel.”

Luke 1:30 - 35

And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God.  And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.  Then said Mary unto the angel, how shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Isaiah 9:7: His lineage would be of line of David

…Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time forward, even forever.”

Micah 5:2; Place of His birth

"But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting."

Matthew 1:6, 16

“…and Jesse begot David the king... And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ.”

 Luke 2:6, 7a

“So it was, that while they were there, [Bethlehem] the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son…”

“…and Jesse begot David the king... And Jacob begot Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus who is called Christ.”
